She is known for her long-lived career as an anaesthetist and surgeon, but she currently works in a forensics laboratory with [[Phenol]] and does biological researches. As of 2023, she is 192 or 193 years old. She is American-German-French and very fluent in many languages. Her siblings are [[Chloromethane|Methyl Chloride]], [[dichloromethane|Methylene Chloride]] and [[Carbon Tetrachloride]]. Many Chemicals are mentioned as Chloroform's parents, most notable being the narcotic [[Chloral]].

Chloroform is very calm, kind and friendly, she is nice to talk with. Chloroform never gets angry since she is unable to feel anger. She is deeply ashamed of her own history and what humans associate her with. She hates being labelled as a criminal for killing humans or even being praised for the lives she has saved. She does not want to be considered as a "pioneer" in anaesthesia which she never wanted to do at all. Because of her bad reputation, she never liked the name "Chloroform" especially after the 1920s, she prefers to be called "Trichloromethane" ("TCM" for short). She has never kidnapped someone in her life. Chloroform prefers staying in the dark to protect herself from sunlight which is harmful to her.
