She started working as an anaesthetist in 1848. In her first years, she was labelled as anti-Christian because Chloroform helped women in labour. Chloroform was loved by Queen Victoria of England for helping her pain during childbirth, after the Queen's approval, Chloroform became even more famous everywhere.
